Money laundering (AML) is the act of hiding illicitly obtained money so that its origin seems legitimate. Capitalia Limited is regulated by the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission and we abide by strict laws, which stipulate that getting involved or knowingly engaging in activities remotely linked to money laundering is illegal for us or for any of our employees or agents. Our anti-money laundering policies ensure investor protection, secure payment processes and customer safety services.

The first security measure against money laundering is the advanced check known as “know your customer” (KYC). We require the following documentation to ensure that it complies with the standard regulations against money laundering:

  • Proof of identification: A clear copy of the front and back of your identification document with photograph, date of birth, signature of the holder and issued by a public authority (for example, a passport, a driving license or an ID).
  • Proof of residence: An official document issued in the last three months in which your name and address are clearly shown, as it appears in your Tradear.com register. You can send us an invoice for a public service, such as a water, electricity or telephone bill, or a bank statement. Make sure the copy includes the following requirements:
    • Your full and official name
    • Your full residence address
    • Date of issue (of the last three months)
    • Name of the issuing authority, with the official logo or seal
    • Copy of the front and the back of your credit card: In order to guarantee your privacy and security, only the last four digits of your credit card must be visible. You can also hide the last three digits of the back (CVV code).
  • Proof of Occupancy:
    • Dependent: Receipt of salary, retirement or pension (The last 3 received).
    • Independent: With less than 3 months of issued:
      • i.Rents. Assets declaration is required.
      • ii.Autonomous. With a minimum of 1 years of exercise.
      • iii.Businessman. With a minimum of 1 year of activity.
    • Any other that is considered relevant.
  • Agreement of Conformity: By registering to our site, you are accepting the terms and conditions of our company through a digital signature contract. At the same time as a capital inflow to your account, you must sign a compliance agreement (in digital format) by which you certify your consent to that transaction.

Please note that the regulatory requirements differ in certain countries and that we may request more information and documentation about you.

We do not accept payments from third parties. All deposits must be made in your name and must match the documents submitted according to the KYC procedure. Due to regulatory policies against money laundering, all money withdrawn must be returned to exactly the same source from which it was received. This means that, before a withdrawal request, the money originally deposited by bank transfer will be returned to the same account. Similarly, if you made a deposit by credit card and submitted a withdrawal request, the funds will be returned to the same credit card.

We do not accept cash deposits or cash payments in any case when withdrawal requests are submitted.

The anti-money laundering regulations require us to monitor and track suspicious transactions, as well as to report these activities to the relevant compliance agencies (Vanuatu Securities Commission). We also reserve the right to refuse a transfer at any time if we believe that it is linked in some way to criminal activities or money laundering. The law prohibits us from informing clients about those reports sent to compliance agencies in relation to suspicious activities.
